The search and rescue chaplaincy staff are supported by a large team of qualified and committed search and rescue chaplaincy volunteers who patrol on foot and by car, responding to emergency calls and locating people at risk.
They believe that by receiving skilled crisis intervention support at their time of crisis, people in suicidal distress can be awakened to the hope that there are other ways forward to address the problems they face.
The Chaplaincy work is funded entirely by kind donations from supporters and the public. You can help them continue to provide their search and rescue services by donating via their website: https://bhct.org.uk/getting_involved
The Chaplaincy team have responded to over 15,000 incidents since 2004 and the new Suzuki Vitara from Eastbourne Suzuki will ensure that they are able to reach many more in the future.
