Lord’s Taverners Spring Luncheon Returns to Eastbourne After Two-Year Break

Eastbourne’s popular Lord’s Taverners Spring Luncheon made a successful return in March 2026, raising £17,000 for young people with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds through an afternoon of dining, entertainment and fundraising.

The Lord’s Taverners Spring Luncheon made a welcome return to Eastbourne on Friday, 13 March 2026, with guests gathering in the Garden Room Restaurant at The Grand Hotel for an afternoon of fundraising, entertainment and community spirit following a two-year break.

A firm favourite in the local calendar, the event brought together businesses, organisations and individuals from across the area in support of the Lord’s Taverners and its work providing inclusive sporting opportunities for young people with disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Guests enjoyed a three-course meal in elegant seafront surroundings, alongside a lively programme of fundraising activities. A silent auction attracted strong interest, while the ever-popular Heads and Tails game added a fun and competitive element to the afternoon.

Entertainment was a highlight of the event. Comedian Aaron James kept guests laughing throughout, while a surprise musical performance from two singing police officers, along with a singing waiter, brought energy, humour and plenty of applause.

Organised by Eastbourne Motoring Centre (EMC) and sponsored by EMC Eastbourne BYD, the luncheon proved to be a great success, raising £17,000 to support the charity’s ongoing work across the UK.

The return of the Spring Luncheon marks the revival of one of Eastbourne’s most well-supported fundraising events, bringing together fine dining, entertainment and generosity for a truly worthwhile cause.
